Rafi Zabor

 



Rafi Zabor is the author of THE BEAR COMES HOME (Norton, 1997), which won the 1998 Pen Faulkner Award for Fiction, and I, WABENZI (Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2005).

He was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and has worked and recorded as a jazz drummer. 

He has written about music for Musician, Playboy, and the Village Voice, and about dervishes in Istanbul for Harper’s.
