Marcia Willett

 



Marcia Willett was born in a small Somersetshire village, the youngest of five girls. She trained as a ballet dancer, then studied to be a ballet teacher before turning to writing at the encouragement of her husband.

She is the author of many novels, most recently ECHOES OF THE DANCE (St. Martin’s Press, 2007). Her previous titles are THE COURTYARD (St. Martin's Press, 1995), A WEEK IN WINTER (St. Martin's Press, 2002), A SUMMER IN THE COUNTRY (St. Martin's Press, 2003), THE BIRDCAGE (St. Martin's Press, 2005), FIRST FRIENDS (St. Martin's Press, 2006), and A FRIEND OF THE FAMILY (St. Martin's Press, 2006).
