Marcia Willett was born in a small Somersetshire village, the youngest of five girls. She trained as a ballet dancer, then studied to be a ballet teacher before turning to writing at the encouragement of her husband.

She is the author of many novels, most recently ECHOES OF THE DANCE (St. Martin’s Press, 2007).
