Barry Lyga, a graduate of Yale University, is the author of THE ASTONISHING ADVENTURES OF FANBOY AND GOTH GIRL (Houghton Mifflin, 2006) and the award-winning BOY TOY (Houghton Mifflin, 2007). His third book, HERO-TYPE was recently published by Houghton Mifflin in 2008.

He worked in the comic book industry as a respected expert in the field, both as a comic book writer and as a marketing professional.

Barry Lyga's forthcoming GOTH GIRL RISING, the sequal to the critically acclaimed THE ASTONISHING ADVENTURES OF FANBOY AND GOTH GIRL, will be published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in September 2009.
