Peter Hohnen studied history and law at the Australian National University and was a partner in a prominent Canberra law firm for 20 years. He was commander in the Royal Australian Naval Reserve for 20 years. Hohnen earned a master’s degree in Law from ANU in 2002.

He has made several contributions to the AUSTRALIAN DICTIONARY OF BIOGRAPHY. He is currently working on a non-fiction project, THE WOLF ODYSSEY: The True Story of an Epic Journey of Destruction In World War I, with Richard Guilliatt, which will be published in 2009.
