Glen Hirshberg

THE SNOWMAN'S CHILDREN
Hirshberg has written a haunting first novel of psychological suspense about an incident that occurred in a young man’s childhood that forces our hero at age 29 to return to his hometown in search of three lost friends.

The book alternates between the present and the winter of 1976, when a child serial killer called The Snowman stalked the streets of suburban Detroit.

Based, in part, on the mystery surrounding Detroit’s actual Oakland County Child Killer, this book focuses on the fragile nature of childhood, the fragmentation of Detroit, and the quiet, nagging loneliness that drives people, even children, to desperation.
