Sarah Garland

 



Sarah Garland is a journalist who covers crime, education, and immigration. She currently works for Newsweek International and has written for the New York Times, Newsday, the New York Sun, the Village Voice, New York Magazine, and Marie Claire.

She received her master's degree from New York University as a Henry M. MacCracken fellow, and was awarded an Overseas Press Foundation scholarship to research gangs in El Salvador. Her first book, GANGS IN GARDEN CITY, is forthcoming. She lives in New York City.
