Sarah Bilston

 



Sarah Bilston was born in England and now lives in Connecticut with her husband, daughter and, recently, twins.

She received her undergraduate and Master's degrees from University College, London and her doctorate from the University of Oxford. She is now an Assistant Professor of English Literature at Trinity College, Hartford.

Her first book, THE AWKWARD AGE IN WOMEN'S POPULAR FICTION, 1850-1900
: Girls and the Transition to Womanhood (on Victorian representations of girlhood) was published by Oxford University Press in 2004, and her first book of fiction, BED REST, was published by HarperCollins in 2006. SLEEPLESS NIGHTS, her second novel, will be published in December 2008 in the U.K. and spring 2009 in the U.S.
